Terms of use
The agreement between you and us when you use Goud Work. We kept it as short and plain as we could. How we look after your data is in the privacy policy, which is part of this agreement too.
Updated 8 November 2026.
1. Who we are
Goud Work is run by Goud Games Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17463983. When these terms say "we" or "us", they mean that company. "You" means the person with the account.
By making an account or signing in, you agree to these terms. If you use Goud Work for a business, you agree for that business too, and you are saying you are allowed to.
Some of what follows is different for a business and for a person at home. Where it is, we say so. If you use Goud Work for yourself and not for a business, the law gives you rights as a consumer, and nothing here takes them away.
2. Your account
- You need to be 18 or over.
- An account is for one person. Sign in with your own email, Google or Apple, and keep them safe: whoever can read your email can get in.
- If you let people in, like your accountant or your staff, you choose what they can do, and what they do in your account is on you.
- Tell us straight away at privacy@goud.work if you think someone else got into your account.
3. Plans and paying
Every account starts on Free. Basic is £5 a month and Pro is £12 a month. What each one holds is on the plans page, and the price you see there is the price you pay.
Paying is not open yet. Until it is, every account is on Free, or on a plan we set by hand and tell you about. The rest of this section starts when paying opens.
- Paying. A plan is paid a month ahead, by card, through Revolut. It renews each month until you stop it.
- Stopping. You can stop a plan any time, in your account. It keeps going to the end of the month you paid for, then you are back on Free. We do not pay back part of a month.
- At home, 14 days. If you use Goud Work for yourself and not for a business, you can change your mind within 14 days of first paying for a plan, and we pay it all back.
- Going down a plan. Nothing is deleted. If you have more companies than the new plan holds, the extra ones can still be opened and downloaded, but not changed, until you go back up or remove some.
- Changing a price. We email you at least 30 days before a price goes up. You can stop the plan before it does.
- Coupons. The coupons from invite links are for Goud Work plans only. They cannot be swapped for money or sold. If one came from accounts made up to earn it, we take it back.
- Not paid. If a payment fails we tell you and try again. If it still fails, the account goes back to Free. Your work stays.
On Free, PDFs and business pages carry a small "Made with Goud Work" line.
4. Your work is yours
Everything you put into Goud Work stays yours: your companies, customers, quotes, invoices, pictures and your business page. We do not own any of it.
You give us leave to keep it, show it and send it, only as far as we need to run the service for you. For example, to make your PDF, email your invoice to your customer, or show your business page. That leave ends when you delete it.
You can download all of it whenever you like. The details of your customers are yours to look after, and the terms we keep to for them are in the privacy policy, under For businesses.
The Goud Work name, logo, look and code are ours.
5. What is up to you
Goud Work is a tool. It helps you make invoices, but it is not your accountant and it does not give tax or legal advice. So:
- What your invoices say is yours to get right: prices, VAT, your VAT number, your bank details and anything else the law asks of an invoice.
- Your tax is yours. Keeping your records for as long as HMRC asks (often five or six years) is yours too. Download them, because when you delete your account they go.
- What your business page says has to be true. A badge like Gas Safe or VAT registered shows as you gave it; only put one on that you hold.
- Reviews show on your page only when you approve them. Approve real ones only.
- You need a fair reason to keep your customers' details and to send them emails through us. Sending an invoice for work they asked for is one.
6. What you must not do
Please do not use Goud Work to:
- send an invoice for work that was not done, or anything else meant to trick someone into paying;
- pretend to be a business or a person you are not, or use a name, logo or badge that is not yours;
- send emails nobody asked for, or send to people who did not deal with you;
- put anything on a business page that is against the law, hateful, sexual, threatening, or not yours to use, like another firm's photos;
- sell or offer anything that is against the law;
- break into, test, overload or copy the site, read other accounts, or make accounts by machine;
- sell or rent your account, or Goud Work itself, to others.
7. If something is wrong
If we see, or someone tells us, that an account or a page breaks section 6, we email the owner first, say what is wrong, and give time to put it right.
We pause an account or shut a page straight away, and write afterwards, only when waiting would hurt someone: a scam that is still running, someone's safety, or where the law makes us.
We always email the reason, and what we did shows in your account's Settings with the day. While an account is paused nobody can sign in to it. If you need your work, write to us and we open it for you to download, unless the law stops us. If you think we got it wrong, write to us and a person looks again.
To tell us about a page or an invoice that looks wrong, write to privacy@goud.work.
8. Business pages and their names
- Every company can have a page at its own name on goud.work, like yourname.goud.work. Names go to whoever asks first.
- A new name waits for our yes before the page opens. We say no to a name that is someone else's business or trade mark, that misleads, or that is rude.
- If a name turns out to belong to someone else, we may take it back. We tell you first, and the page keeps working at a new name.
- When you change your page's name, the old one sends people to the new one for 90 days, then it is free for others.
- Using your own domain, on Pro, needs you to own it.
9. What we promise
- We keep the service running and your data safe as the privacy policy says, and we fix things when they break.
- We cannot promise it never goes down. Sometimes we need to stop it for a short while to put out a new version, and sometimes things fail.
- We take a copy of everything once a day and keep each copy 14 days.
- We change and improve Goud Work as we go. If we take away something you use or pay for, we tell you ahead.
- If we ever close a service, or Goud Work itself, we email you at least 60 days before, so you have time to download everything.
10. What we are responsible for
Nothing here limits what we are responsible for where the law does not let us limit it: death or injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or your rights as a consumer.
If you use Goud Work for a business, we are not responsible for lost profit, lost business or lost chances, or for anything that comes from what you put in your invoices or on your page.
If you use Goud Work at home, we are responsible for loss you suffer that anyone could have seen coming from our breaking this agreement or our carelessness. We are not responsible for loss nobody could have seen coming.
Either way, the most we pay you in all, for everything in any 12 months, is what you paid us in those 12 months or £100, whichever is more.
11. Leaving
You can leave whenever you like: Account, Your data, Delete my account. It is shut at once and deleted for good 30 days later. Signing in before then keeps it. Download what you need first.
We may end your account ourselves, with an email saying why, if it breaks section 6 badly or again after we asked you to stop. We give you at least 14 days to download your work first, unless the law or someone's safety stops us. If you paid for a month you did not get, we pay it back.
12. Changes, and the law
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we email every account owner at least 30 days before it starts, and the date at the top changes. If you do not agree you can leave before then. Small fixes to wording just change the date.
These terms are under the law of England and Wales, and its courts hear any dispute. If you use Goud Work at home and live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also go to your own courts.
If one part of these terms turns out not to hold, the rest still does. If we do not act on something straight away, we can still act on it later.
Questions about these terms? Write to privacy@goud.work. A person reads it.
